We're all in this together. Our political situation getting this bad doesn't belong to one party or one faction of it. Trump is a symptom, not the cancer. And I'm not blaming YOU, or ME.. I'm saying WE all own a piece of this dysfunction because Congress ultimately is US, and the people haven't straightened them out.
They said that they told the gang of eight a week before and the day before so that's all the people they had to tell. They couldn't tell over 500 people.

I'm not arguing Congress should have voted to authorize the day, the time, the strategy, etc. But they should have been asked to authorize the use of force. That wouldn't mean the Administration still couldn't have pursued and found a diplomatic solution. This issue is separate from whether or not the war on Iran is a good idea... the issue I'm calling out is the failure to follow the constitutional order of operations.
Who is the “they” you are referring to? All I know is the decision to put the US into this situation appears for all intents and purposes to have been the decision of one man who has not given much assurance of mental clarity throughout his regime, and it was not his decision to make.
