This is how I have been feeling. I tell people all the time - Democracy is a participation sport and if you don't participate, you abdicate your right to complain. For me, being a local elected official, I feel we have a huge role to play - leading by example and helping people see that the politics of contempt are not going to save our democracy. Thank you for this glimmer of hope!
Since we lost much of our agency when fascist-like administrators took over our schools about four decades ago, we need to start listening to teacher whistleblowers at WhiteChalkCrime.com and EndTeacherAbuse.org so we can reclaim our schools—democracy’s foundation. You aren’t going to hear the truth about our schools anywhere else!
I would like to thank Bright America for having our (True Patriots) back. I agree we are not going to be saved by knight in shining armor. We have to chip in financially, vocally and physically in order to "Right this Ship". We can not allow the the "Trumpanzees" to take over any longer.
Watching Ken Burns' American Revolution reminds me of the struggles our ancestors endured to fight for freedom and justice from the tyranny of a powerful king and all his money. As Americans we have the spirit to fight for this democracy and every person who lives here.
Gone are the days where we can take our government for granted; where a government ran on its own, built by Americans who sacrificed for us in WW2. we are being called to serve in a bloodless war to save ourselves and our country, from an internal corruption; We are being called to serve by an undeniable internal force to restore American dignity. 💙🇺🇸♥️
We can also help take back our Democracy by creating a National Endowment for Public Broadcasting, free from politics, funded by the people. Public broadcasting can’t save us on its own, but it can continue to help us become a better educated populace with a better chance of achieving the Bright Future of which Austin speaks. We all need the in-depth analysis of issues PB provides. Anyone want to help?
Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Ultra traditional - family, close and extended, gathered around big turkey (actually, 2) “with all the fixings”. Ho, Ho, Ho (whoops - wrong holiday). Only slight problem - still the same ignoramuses loudly proclaiming how Trump has saved us, how great America has become, how NY, LA, SF, Chicago and Portland are crime-ridden hell holes and need the federalized National Guard, Marines, Army (maybe Navy and Space Force - who knows) - to save us - from the Commies?, Socialists?, Chinese? Venezuelans? Nigerians? Vietnamese? Outer Mongolians? - again, who knows. Loud, stupid and supremely self-confident. Contradict and there’s a screaming match which would end up in a totally disrupted “celebration”. Sat there fuming, watching some dumb football? soccer? basketball? polo? game. Lotsa fun. Can’t wait until next year
We need a grassroots movement.
Stay tuned!

Nobody. We're going to have to take control. I've felt this coming on as I watch the Constitution ripped apart.

You will not be saved by General Motors or the pre-fabricated house.
You will not be saved by dialectic materialism or the Lambeth Conference.
You will not be saved by Vitamin D or the expanding universe.
In fact, you will not be saved.

An inspirational message... Thank you!

I can't tolerate that kind of environment. I like my peace. I would pass on family gatherings if that's what you have to listen to or watch.
