Why isn't anyone doing anything?!
Actually, a ton is being done to reverse the erosion of the Rule of Law through high-impact litigation. Here's how we spread the word -- and hope!
I routinely hear people lament that no one is doing anything to stop the erosion of our democracy. If, like them, I believed that were true, I’d find our nation’s present predicament even more disturbing.
However, I disagree with the premise of their question…
And while they’re probably referring to Congress, or corporations, or institutions, or whatever else that’s failed to stand up to the Administration, I have a feeling most are unaware of the large volume of non-profit legal work being done to reverse the tide (by organizations like our strategic litigation partner Campaign Legal Center!).

We need a national leader,or leaders, who can build confidence and trust that we can stop the erosion of our democratic Republic! Fighting in the courts is great but the final court stands with the side of autocracy. Fight on! But help us find some leaders who will build up a base of positive goals with the ends of defeating the MAGA agenda.
Point well made. And your reader is right that we need leaders or other officials, with the loudest megaphones, to speak out, whether in politics, business,media, academics, or faith. The reality is that not everyone reads you, or Marc Elias, or Brennan Center, let alone knows of efforts in their states or communities, let alone successes. I would ask to dedicate a regular Substack to these matters, along with stories and successes.
